LENT IS COMING

In just two and a half weeks we will be observing Ash Wednesday on February 22^nd! This means that we are now preparing for our annual weekly LENTEN FISH FRY at St. John Church hall. Mike Palermo and his crew are once again getting everything in order, and even though the price of supplies has increased there will be NO increase in the cost of the dinners. We will have the same menu as last year.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to help with set-up, serving, and clean-up for each week. Next weekend, we will have sign up sheets at the main entrances of both church buildings. You can volunteer for as many weeks as you are able. Serving time is from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM each week. If you’ve never volunteered before, this is a great opportunity to get to know others in our parish family and enjoy their company as we welcome people from our community to have a good meal in a cordial atmosphere.

PLEASE NOTE that our first fish fry will be on Ash Wednesday, and then every Friday of Lent except Good Friday.
